So, you’re looking to replace your legacy CPM solution but you are not sure where to begin. Gartner is a great place to start. Last month Gartner released their annual Magic Quadrant report on Financial Corporate Performance Management (FCPM). The FCPM report includes six key pillars or components – financial consolidation, financial reporting, management reporting, costing, reconciliations/close management, intercompany transactions and disclosure management (including XBRL tagging).

If you are not familiar with Gartner Peer Insights, it is their platform for ratings and reviews of enterprise technology solutions by end-user professionals for end-user professionals. The rating process is anonymous and, unlike Yelp, fully vetted and not open to just anyone. Don’t get me wrong I love Yelp but when Susie from Texas can leave a 1-star review because her seat was uncomfortable and the view out of her window could have been better I have to question the reviewer.
